October 12-16

Monday -
     Students will read provided article called "Ten Traits of a Good Employee." Then they will
          answer questions that help them understand the qualities that employers are looking for in an
          employee.

Tuesday -
     Finish Video Game Designer assignment from last week.
     Go to Campus2Careers to find a technology career that matches their interest inventory. Then
          resesarch and provide career information about that job.

Wednesday -
     Finish the Technology Career research.
     Engineer Introduction - watch several videos that show what engineers do.

Thursday -
     Engineering Career Research - each student will randomly pick an engineer to research. Students
         will then create a slide presentation with the information.

Friday -
     Complete Engineering Career Research


October 5-9

Monday -
     Introduction to S.T.E.M.
     Students will be introduced to the pathways that  BHS has to offer under the S.T.E.M.                                  Endorsement

Tuesday -
     Infographic on a Science Career - students will research a science career and create an
             infographic.

Wednesday -
     Hour of Code - student will participate in an hour of coding to learn the basics of program coding.

Thursday -
     Video Game Designer Research - students will research the fascinating career of a video game
              designer.

Friday -
     Complete Video Game Designer Research

Chief Canales (leader of the NJROTC at BHS) and several cadets will be guest speakers in class on Sept. 30 - Wednesday next week.

Welcome to Career Portals!

 Week one is basically an introduction to this class and getting on the computer to make sure that your login works. Students will log into Google Classroom. This is where MOST of our assignments are done. Google Classroom can be reached from a home internet. This is a great feature in case you are sick but can still work on your assignments.

Spring Semester

Here is a brief version of the 2nd Semester

January 21 through February 4th the students researched the Public Service Endorsement. The Public Endorsement at BHS includes the following Pathways:
    Health Science Technology
    NJROTC

February 5th through March 13th the students researched the STEM Endorsement. The STEM Endorsement at BHS includes the following Pathways:
   Robotics
   Science
   Engineering
   Mathematics
   Multidisciplinary STEM

March 23rd through April 24th the students are researching the Business and Industry Endorsement. The Business and Industry Endorsement at BHS has the most Pathways available. They are as follows:

   Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications
   Networking Pathway
   Digital Interactive Multimedia and Animation
